Remove girls win Kent School Games Indoor Rowing as King’s take 3 medals
Our Remove girls won gold at the Kent School Games Indoor Rowing Finals on Friday.
Olivia Shaft (Luxmoore), Charlotte Lester (Luxmoore), Uliana Yudintseva (Jervis) and Katya Eroshina (Harvey) put in impressive performances to win their relay.
It was a highly successful event for the school with Tabitha Butterfill (Luxmoore) taking silver in the individual competition and our Remove boys’ team of Bear Cochrane (Marlowe), Jasper Wolff (Galpin’s), George Gibbs (Marlowe) and Tommy Knight (Carlyon) finishing runners-up in their race.

The medals kicked-off a strong weekend of rowing for the school with a number of good results following on Saturday at the Hampton Head.
Two of our boys’ pairs who are preparing for GB trials over half term raced well, with Ian and Tom Wingfield (Mitchinson’s) coming a healthy third while James Crawley (Galpin’s) and Bear Hastilow (MO) finished eighth—a highly encouraging result given their lack of time in that boat.
Both the girls’ and boys’ eights raced later in the day, building good experience in their new boats.
