Rowers win Junior Fours at Maidstone Head
King’s took the win in the Junior Fours at the Maidstone Small-Boats Head, retaining the Headship as fastest boat of the day.
Ed Connor, Alex Lapsley, Dominic Hoare, Sam Mutton and cox Niamh Carter put in an excellent time-trial performance to see off some stiff competition.
There was further success for twins Ian and Tom Wingfield who won the Junior Pairs category and a great maiden win for the Remove girls coxed quad of Charlotte Lester, Cherry Chen, Chaewon Kim, Olivia Shaft and Nanthana Gunathilagan.
A brilliant outing for our boat club who may have taken inspiration from European U23 bronze medalist Freddie Allinson OKS after he joined them for training last Thursday.
