Rowing: Kent Indoor Heats

There were some excellent performances at the indoor rowing heats, which backed up the pupils’ consistent training in recent weeks.

In the team relay events King’s came 1st in both the Years 12/13 Boys’ and Girls’ events, and the also took 2nd in this Boys’ event too. The Remove boys came 1st with the Shell girls finishing 7th and the JKS boys 5th.

In the individual events, it was a clean sweep for the boys with 1st, 2nd and 3rd, all in the 6 minutes 40 seconds range from Harry Nichols, then Angus Forbes and Charlie John respectively. In the girls’ event, Helena Barton was a clear winner in 7 mins 52 sec-onds with Demi Adeyemi coming 2nd. In the Removes’ event, Gus Cox came in 2nd with Wills Edgar 3rd. The Shell girls and JKS boys did very well in very large and competitive age groups.

The finals are on February 4th.
