Sixth Form flautist achieves notable diploma
Current 6a (Year 13) pupil, Lottie Johnson (Walpole House), recently received her DipABRSM – a music performance diploma that is a recognised and respected qualification worldwide.
A committed and talented flautist, Lottie has been playing flute for over ten years, obtaining her Grade 8 certificate in 2014.
The DipABRSM is approximately equivalent to the first year of a music degree. The ABRSM states that ‘a successful DipABRSM performance must not only be technically competent but also show musicianship, communication and stagecraft, supported by musical knowledge and understanding.’
