Star Wars sound designer Richard Gould discusses his career in the OKS Magazine

Richard Gould (OKS Carlyon, 2005-07) talks about his role as a film sound designer for the title feature of the OKS Magazine’s latest edition.

After battling ME during his youth, Richard has had a fascinating journey to the top of his profession. He started to develop a love affair with sound production when he directed an adaptation of Doctor Faustus in the Sixth Form at King’s, and he’s gone on to win a Primetime Emmy in 2020 for his work on The Mandalorian and recently won another Golden Reel award this April.

In the recently released magazine, Richard talks with Tommy Károlyi (OKS Mitchinson’s, 2017-20) about his craft and his unconventional route into the entertainment industry.
