Tennis trip to Portugal 2018
Fifteen of the best junior tennis players from King’s spent one week at the Vale do Lobo Tennis Academy in Faro, Portugal, over Easter. Accompanied by four members of staff, the King’s pupils received top coaching throughout the week. They also travelled to Vilamoura to play at its new Tennis Academy, in addition to visiting the fabulous marina with jaw-dropping yachts for lunch. The pupils stayed in four separate villas on the resort and evenings were spent completing a ‘come dine with me’ experience as each villa cooked for all the staff and pupils. One afternoon was spent on the beach, taking part in a bespoke ‘Beach Olympics’ and they also visited the exclusive Golf Club on the resort for ice creams and soft drinks. On the last night the pupils enjoyed a fantastic meal at a seafront restaurant, where they could sample some of the best fish from the region, including Seabass, Seabream or a Seafood Linguini. Much fun was had by all and there was considerable improvement in the standard of tennis too, preparing the students for the tennis season ahead.
