Two fascinating King’s Talks lined up this week
We are delighted to be holding two online King’s talks this week from Nathan Hudson-Peacock on his experience travelling the world as an expedition doctor and Ronan Patrick on the basics of financial markets.
Alongside working as an NHS Emergency Department physician in London, Nathan (OKS, Marlowe 2005-10) also provides comprehensive and fully indemnified medical support to national and international expeditions, with a special interest in high-altitude ventures. He graduated from the University of Cambridge with First Class Honours and went on to complete his medical foundation programme in East Kent and King’s College Hospital, London, for which he was awarded Trust Prizes for Clinical Excellence and Leadership.
After hearing from Nathan on Wednesday evening, we’ll then be joined virtually on Thursday by Ronan who has worked at various fintechs and investment funds as well as having previously ranked in the top 10 debaters globally when competing for England in 2015. He’ll give an introduction to the world of finance, exploring topics such as the differences between investment banks and commercial banks as well as looking at how hedge funds operate.
