Un viaje fantástico!

A group of 31 pupils recently flew to Seville, Spain to practise their Spanish and  be immersed in Andalusian and Spanish culture.

Every morning they crossed the picturesque bridge that brought them from the traditional Triana quarter, where most of host families lived, to their lessons at the International House School of Languages in the centre of Seville.

After lunch with the families, the pupils enjoyed all kinds of cultural activities including a visit to Seville Cathedral (the third largest in the world) with its beautiful Giralda tower. They also visited the Alcazar Palace, the Jewish quarter and La Maestranza bull ring with a boat ride on the lake in the magnificent Plaza de España.

There was also a tour of the city by horse-drawn carts which was much enjoyed by all. The pupils also had the chance to try the delicious "chocolate con churros" in the roof terrace of the school and even dance some "sevillanas".

On their last day in this beautiful city, the pupils said their goodbyes to their host families before they travelled to Isla Magica, the theme park that was constructed on the outskirts of the city on the former grounds of the Expo ’92 World’s Fair in Seville. That was a fun way to end the week before flying back to London that evening.
