Watch Dewi Rees (OKS) give incredible organ recital in St Albans Cathedral
Former King’s music scholar Dewi Rees (OKS, Grange 2011-16) recently gave a 30-minute online recital from St Albans Cathedral, where he is now an Organ Scholar.
Dewi played Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in G major followed by one of the most revered and difficult pieces written for the organ, Durufle’s Suite, op. 5.
Upon leaving King’s, Dewi was awarded an organ scholarship at Jesus College, Cambridge where he read music and was a regular soloist with the college choirs in concerts around the UK and on several international tours. He is now a prize-winning Fellow of the Royal College of Organists and studies the organ with Ann Elise Smoot.
