Will made a Young Ambassador of the MCC Foundation

Will Gaffney (Meister Omers, Fifth) has been named one of five Young Ambassadors of the MCC Foundation as the charitable arm of the historic Marylebone Cricket Club launches a new programme.

The Young Ambassadors, aged between 16 and 35, will be immersed in the Foundation’s work on a practical level, interacting with the charity’s beneficiaries as much as possible, and sharing their experiences and expertise to support the organisation’s strategy.

Will was named alongside the likes of former England cricketer Ajmal Shahzad and British Diplomat Mumtaz Habib, and will complement the Foundation’s existing patrons who include Stephen Fry and Michael Atherton OBE.

The news comes after the cricket charity Bat For A Chance, which Will founded in 2020, launched a partnership with the Foundation of Goodness in Sri Lanka earlier this year.
