World Championship Silver & Bronze for Millie Knight

Millie Knight of Marlowe House has won bronze and silver medals at the IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships in Panorama, Canada.

Millie and her guide Jen Kehoe took silver in the giant slalom, missing out by less than a second to Russia’s Paralympic silver medallist, Aleksandra Frantceva, despite leading after the first run.

‘Today has been amazing, the course has been fantastic and I’m very happy with my race’ said Millie, the youngest medallist so far in the competition.

Hoping to go one better in the slalom and win Britain’s first ever World Championship gold, Millie and Jen had to settle for bronze in the end with Frantceva again taking the gold and Australia’s Melissa Perrine winning the silver.

We look forward to welcoming Millie back and congratulating her on such an amazing achievement.
