Young Scientists Journal Conference 2015

The King’s School will be hosting the second annual Young Scientists Journal conference on 14th October 2015 between 1-6pm. Professor Sir Martyn Poliakoff will be the keynote speaker and we will be welcoming over 250 students and teachers from schools across the UK and beyond. The programme includes workshops, poster presentations, an exhibition, teachers’ lounge and panel discussion.

Young Scientists Journal aims to inspire and nurture the scientists of the future through lectures, workshops and more at this year’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) conference, aimed at 14-18 year olds and their teachers.

The eminent chemist and science communicator Sir Martyn Poliakoff will open this year’s conference with a talk entitled Jumping in the deep end, which will describe some of his efforts at doing science while at school. It will also show how, quite surprisingly, some of the work he did then is reflected in his research as a professional scientist.

Further information regarding this year’s conference can be found here.
