For applicants attending The King’s School Entrance Exams in person on either Friday 7th November or Saturday 8th November, the following gives an idea of what to expect on the day:
We will ask all applicants to arrive at 9am. Please ensure that applicants bring their passport with them for verification.
Tours will be available for parents whilst the exams are in progress and candidates are free to leave after their interview.
The dress code for candidates is smart casual (school uniform is not compulsory) and all candidates should bring basic stationery (Dictionaries, graph paper and calculators are NOT permitted in these exams).
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any parking at the School. Please click here for local car parks. Please note that St Radigund’s Car Park is the closest.

Candidates taking the assessments overseas will need to sit their exams between 7th – 12th November at a British Council Office, an approved education agency or their current school.
The assessments must be taken under exam conditions and the completed transcripts will need to be returned to admissions@kings-school.co.uk as soon as possible.
Full instructions will be sent to the exam invigilator email address you have provided on the Entrance Exam Application Form on Wednesday 5th November (if you do not yet have the email address of the invigilator, please send this to us by email as soon as this has been confirmed).
Online interviews will take place from October 2025 onwards. Please note that candidates maybe invited to have an online interview prior to taking their exam.
