The boys of Linacre House and members of King’s staff took on an almighty challenge over the weekend to raise money for the school’s charity of the term, Classrooms in the Clouds.
During a 12-hour period, each participant had an hour to row the equivalent height of Mount Everest (8,849 metres) with an overall total target of 637,128 metres.
Some 810,859 metres later, the challenge was complete and over £3000 had been raised for this worthwhile charity, which helps support education in Nepal by building classrooms, sponsoring teachers and training and encouraging the employment of female teachers.
