Congratulations to the King’s leavers who performed well in their A-Levels this year, surpassing the 2018 and 2019 results.
- Over 80% of A-level grades awarded to King’s pupils are at A*, A or B in 2023.
- Over half of the grades awarded were at A* or A in 2023.
- The average grades achieved were above AAA in 2023.
Over 150 of our students have confirmed places at their first-choice university this year, and 80% have places at their first or second-choice university.
More than 100 King’s leavers this year have places at Russell Group universities. 10 pupils hold offers at US universities.
11 King’s pupils were offered places at Oxford and Cambridge, seven at Imperial College, London, and six at St Andrews University.
In terms of offers accepted, the most popular university choices for this cohort were: Durham (23 offers), Bristol (21), Exeter (19), UCL (19), and Edinburgh (17).
There were over 75 offers made this year from university colleges within the University of London.
Liz Worthington, Interim Head, said:
“We are very proud of our leavers who have worked so hard to achieve these results. They have done incredibly well, especially when you consider that their education was severely disrupted by COVID-19. They leave us as delightful, well-rounded young adults, ready for the world and the opportunities the future brings. I would like to thank our excellent teachers who have inspired and supported these pupils on their academic journey, as well as our support staff who make the King’s experience so special.”
If any of our leavers or parents need advice or guidance, our Sixth Form team will be able to help.
