Our Bursar, Mark Taylor was delighted to present a cheque for £5,419.25 to The London Asbestos Awareness Support Group at our Support Staff Christmas Lunch this week. Each year, the Support staff at King’s, Junior King’s, our International College and the Recreation Centre choose a charity to support throughout the year. Initiatives such as Charity Wellness Week, a Retro Sports Day, Bake Off and collection boxes throughout our sites, alongside the famous Christmas raffle help to raise money for these worthwhile causes.

We also kicked off the fund-raising for next year’s charity, the Evie Dove Foundation, who help sick children and save young lives by sponsoring the education and training of talented and passionate paediatric clinical professionals. The Foundation was set up in memory of Evie Dove, aged Forever 13. Evie was diagnosed with a brain tumour in April 2012 and tragically lost her battle with cancer only a year later in March 2022. Evie had been a swimming student at our Recreation Centre.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our suppliers, the Christmas raffle has got our fundraising off to a great start with over £3,200 already raised.
