Our Year 12 Economists recently took part in a variety of excursions. The first was an activity day at Birley’s pavilion. Peter Savill, Managing Director of Savill Consulting, delivered a fascinating talk on investment simulation to see how much profit or loss pupils could make on an imaginary trading floor.

Pupils also visited the Port Of Dover to understand the impacts of Brexit and the effects it has had on the port’s business of operations.

The group also got to see the successful Kent brewing company Shepherd Neame, to learn about business expansion, marketing and operations. There was plenty to discuss and reflect on in their lessons.
