Our Design & Technology Year 9 Excellence group have worked extremely hard on the Design Ventura competition. This competition, run annually by the Design Museum and Deutsche Bank, has been developed to encourage creativity and enterprise in young pupils.

Pupils are given a brief to design and develop a sustainable product suitable to be sold in the Design Museum shop for around £15. The King’s team entry, Reely, solves the problem of cable management, which can be a messy inconvenience for many!

In the independent and international school category, the group came second out of 120 entries – a fantastic achievement!

This week the group were invited to the Design Museum for a celebration day, including prize giving, a sustainable design workshop and a visit to the current exhibitions on show.
